The make applet is based on Public Domain POSIX make. Information
on this is here:

   https://frippery.org/make
   https://github.com/rmyorston/pdpmake

The make applet is only available in the BusyBox for Windows port:

   https://frippery.org/busybox
   https://github.com/rmyorston/busybox-w32

Some information specific to the Windows version of make has been
included in various editions of busybox-w32 release notes over the
past couple of years.

This mailing list is for discussion of upstream BusyBox. Matters
relating to pdpmake or busybox-w32 should be addressed to me directly
or via GitHub.

Cheers,

Ron
