Hello list,

Is there any chance of accepting either mine or Jacob's patch?

IMHO there is no need to add an extra option, but maybe I'm wrong.
My patch should change behaviour of ftpd only if admin allowed authentication but didn't explicitly specify a path to share (relying on cwd), and a non-root user logs in.
