Commit a2e32b324e (ash: survive failures in $PS1 expansion) fixed a reported bug where invalid syntax in PS1 caused an infinite error loop. Thanks to the inexhaustible capacity of end users to find novel and interesting ways to break things it seems that this fix was incomplete. Two patches follow. Ron
