the concept is intriguing.  there is an i2c-tools project already:
	http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/I2CTools

they might be interested in adding an i2cls tool to compliment their existing 
ones (detect/set/get/dump).  or perhaps merge the functionality into the 
i2cdetect tool (has a -l option already).  so i'd suggest talking to them 
first, getting i2cls support merged, and then you have easy grounds for getting 
into busybox.
