In particular, the ndk toolchain defines __ANDROID__ internally, so ANDROID and __ANDROID__ should probably be made equivalent in platform.h .

I also encountered the problem related to lack of libcrypt in the ndk.

Who is the maintainer? I CC'ed the two people who had committed to the android-specific stuff according to git log the last time.
