Yes.

I just checked. defconfig doesn't build on that image,
I needed to remove a few applets from config:

and it builds.
I did not look closely why they fail. I'd hazard to guess
that they need new types/constants or kernel headers in RH9
might be a bit broken (e.g. etx2-related things).
