$ perl tests/multibuild.pl
and watch the show!  It takes a couple of minutes to run, normal output
starts
Applet AR                  : ok
Applet BASENAME            : ok
Applet CAT                 : ok
Applet CHMOD_CHOWN_CHGRP   : ok
Applet CHROOT              : ok
...

You can also
$ perl tests/multibuild.pl -all
or
$ perl tests/multibuild.pl -none
which may or my not work; they try to turn on and off all
the options in Config.h.  Without a -all or -none, multibuild.pl
leaves the switches alone, and only monkeys with the initial
block of applet-selection #defines.
