Method #1: in inittab

::askfirst:/script/which/sets/LD_LIBRARY_PATH/and/execs/bin/sh

Method #2: boot kernel with:

init=/script/which/sets/LD_LIBRARY_PATH/and/execs/sbin/init

(should work since bbox init doesn't clear its environment).

Method #3: boot kernel with needed variable set
(kernel passes any non-recognized vars on its command line to init):

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=xxx
