busybox 1.4.1 and rules.mak

In busybox 1.2.2.1 and earlier, it used the rules.mak file to compile it.
But the compiling process seems to have changed now and that makefile is no
longer their. The reason I'm asking is because the embedded system's SDK,
which is uclinux based, references that rules.mak file when adding and
compiling busybox to the rootfs folder. And I want to be able to use
busybox 1.4.1 instead of 1.2.2.1 because 1.4.1 has the ability to mount smb
shares.
Anyone know how to do this?
