[BusyBox] lsof applet? + question re uclibc

Hello

I'm pretty new to busybox, so I hope I'm not asking something that 
should be common knowledge - didn't see anything in the archives for 
the last few months though.

Is there anyone already working on an lsof applet for busybox?  I don't 
want to duplicate efforts if there is.  I probably wouldn't really get 
underway for a month or so - I have classes, finals, etc. taking up 
much of my time till then.

And perhaps someone could confirm my impressions here.  Am I correct 
that uclibc never calls any other libraries?  I noticed that programs 
statically compiled against glibc can still open half a dozen or so 
other libraries in their execution, but haven't seen uclibc static 
binaries do so; I'd like to know for sure whether they ever would.
