[BusyBox] Name resolution question

Is there a way to make name resolution working without using uclibc for
busybox compilation ???

I'm compiling busybox from a LFS 5.0 (linuxfromscratch).

My "hosts" file just contain 127.0.0.1 localhost 

resolv.conf contain my isp DNS that i can already ping (!)

but....

no way.

Any idea some1 ?
