[BusyBox] enhanced cmdedit

can someone comment on how patches are evaluated against
busybox's goals?  i see some people submitting patches that trim
12 bytes from the size of the executable, and then i see patches
like this that add un-ifdefed features that mostly contribute to
developer comfort.

this is not to pick on stefani -- i'm sure the change are nice,
if you're an emacs user, though i'd personally rather see a vi
editing mode, thankyouverymuch.  :-)
