login buggy also in 1.00pre5 (was Re: [BusyBox] problems with login after upgrade from 1.00-pre3 to 1.00-pre4)

Same problem verified with 1.00-pre5.

AxisProduct login: root
Password:
Segmentation fault

Debugging with debug symbols is no option as I can't fit the resulting
busybox into the systems flash :-(
