[BusyBox] Problem with syslogd

Hi!

I'm running busybox-1.00-pre3 and uClibc-0.9.21 on a linux kernel 2.5.47
running on a PC104. 
My .config contains:

# CONFIG_FEATURE_UDHCP_SYSLOG is not set
CONFIG_SYSLOGD=y
# CONFIG_FEATURE_IPC_SYSLOG is not set


When issuing > syslogd as root I get the following message on console:
 syslogd: Could not connect to socket /dev/log: Address already in use

Any clues???
