Hi,
Got problem with serial console on a BuxyBox 0.60.5 box, I tried to add the following lines to /etc/inittab:
....
::sysinit:/etc/init.d/rcS
::respawn:/sbin/getty -L 9600 ttyS0 vt100
::respawn:/sbin/getty -L 9600 ttyS1 vt100
....
If it works, then I will get a console on the other end of serial cable. But it fails, while serial cable itself has no problems at all.
I tried "::respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS0 9600 vt100", but fails as well.
I can login using keyboard+screen, or telnetl. http service on the busybox works fine as well.
Any suggestions?

By the way, the getty usage format seems conflict with sample /etc/inittab configuration, which one is correct
In the configuration, there are lines attached below, tty devices is before baud rate.
# Example of how to put a getty on a serial line (for a terminal)
#
#::respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS0 9600 vt100
#::respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS1 9600 vt100
#
While the help for getty is conflicting:, baud rate is placed before device name:
# getty
Tinylogin v1.4 (2003.11.10-02:49+0000) multi-call binary
Usage: getty getty [OPTIONS]... baud_rate,... line [termtype]
