I've tried to find something, but the code is, hmm, not that easy to
understand... 

Erik, you seem to have reworked the msh applet - what is in CVS is
different from busybox-0.60.5. I tried it there and 

	a=`echo foo`

works on that version - do you have an idea what the problem could be?
