Hi,

I've got a question on the use of init -q and job control for busybox.

I've got the following configuration in the /etc/inittab:

::sysinit:/etc/init.d/rcS
::askfirst:-/bin/sh
::ctrlaltdel:/bin/umount -a -r
::restart:/sbin/init

while I tried to re-parse the file using "init -q", it seems the changes are
recognised. However, I no longer have job control for my console anymore - I get
the message:

  sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

when I login.

Note that I'm access the console via a serial line and not a virtual terminal.
Are there any differences I should be aware of?

Thanks in advanced.

Regards,
Daniel
