[BusyBox] pb with dd and gzip

hi,

i don't understand why but with 'dd' and 'gzip' binaries from busybox-0.60.3 
or higher there is a bug with this commande line:

#dd if=/dev/fd0 | gzip | dd of=fd.img
 0+0 records in
 0+0 records out

and with 'dd' and 'gzip' binaries from busybox-0.60.2 :

#dd if=/dev/fd0 | gzip | dd of=fd.img 
  2880+2880 records in
  2740+2740 records out
.. it's ok!

why ? i tried busybox versions 0.60.2 to 0.60.5 and kernel 2.4.17 to 19 in 
one floppy ramdisk linux.
