[BusyBox] Restarting init ?

How can I tell init to re-read it's configuration file ? 
In RH I have "telinit q" for this..

What I want:
when starting inittab run some script that changes
/etc/inittab according to some external parameters
and make init to re-read it's configuration.

There is new option "restart" for inittab in 0.60.3-pre.
How it can help me I my cause ? Don't we enter endless
restarting loop here ?
