[BusyBox] Command line editing

This is my first postage to this list - so sorry I'll
break some netiquette rules.

About command line editing - history is not working ?
When I press Up-Arrow - sometimes I receive previous command,
sometimes I receive gibberish and sometimes shell just quits.
If it's not working yet - why it throws shell away ? 
Maybe I should set TERM variable to something else ? Or use stty somehow ? 

I'm using BusyBox v0.60.3-pre (the last one I think) and ash as shell.
It's compiled with HardHat cross compiler for Intel platform.
I already searched busybox.mbox and did not find anything.
