I had already tried the patch included in 1115 (that is the same as the one
re-posted by David on 2001-03-27) and it works. 

However, I still have the problem when using -lh. This is current CVS, with
default Config.h on 2.2.16-22/glibc-2.1.2/egcs-2.91.66
