dear everybody,

because i'm new to this list, let me shortly introduce myself. i'm a german
student of computer science. i'm using linux now for about 10 years and i
think i can say that meanwhile i'm pretty experienced in system programming.
my last projects were the linux wvlan_cs network driver
(http://www.fasta.fh-dortmund.de/users/andy/wvlan/) and an
infrared-controlled mp3 player called irmp3
(http://www.fasta.fh-dortmund.de/users/andy/irmp3/). my latest project deals
with embedded systems - so thats where i came to busybox.

since yesterday busybox fails compiling with uClibc:

../uClibc/extra/gcc-uClibc/gcc-uClibc-i386 -I- -Wall -Os -fomit-frame-pointe
r -D_GNU_SOURCE -DBB_VE
R='"0.50pre"' -DBB_BT='"2001.03.14-18:25+0000"' -DUSE_SYSTEM_PWD_GRP  -I.  -
c sh.c -o sh.o
sh.c: In function `expand_arguments':
sh.c:1073: called object is not a function
sh.c:1120: called object is not a function
make: *** [sh.o] Error 1

seems like the strchr call in lines 1073 and 1120 is broken. i wasn't able
to find anything wrong yet, but since i read that a new version is upcoming,
i thought i should report this fast :)

regards,
andreas neuhaus
