[BusyBox] re : strange behavior on backspace

Hi,

I have recently upgraded from 0.47 to 0.49 in order to get a working
insmod, and have noticed some strange behavior.

I'm using busybox with the NanoEngine from BrightStar via a serial
port. When backspace is pressed during command line editing, most of the
time the cursor will move up 2 lines rather than back one space! Has
anyone else come accross this behavior?

Also something strange with uid seams to be happening, as my init scripts
to run stuff like portmap etc, don't work anymore. (ps complains about
unknown uid 1)?

Can anyone shed any light on this?
