Hello,

I'm moving the bug that I've reported on Alpine Linux:

I've encountered a problem when using `crontab -e` with EDITOR=vim. It opens
correctly the file, I save and I exit. Re-opening `crontab -e` shows me the
initial file, just as if changes weren't saved.

This was seen with busybox 1.31.1.
