a) The busybox version is:
BusyBox v1.18.4 (Ubuntu 1:1.18.4-2ubuntu2) multi-call binary.

b) I am not sure how to find the answer to your applet question.
In the initrd.gz I found a Shell script named init, that execs '/bin/busybox
init'.
Is that, what you wanted to know?
