sorry in the delay in getting back to this, I've been swamped with other matters.

I'd like to go ahead with a uClibc fix for now, however (before I do any more digging), is there an established/advisable way for me to do this?  I'm relatively new to gcc/uclibc, so any advice is appreciated.
