Does it build against glibc? I ask because from what I have seen,
in both libc'es it is guarded by __USE_MISC, and it is set like this:

#if defined _BSD_SOURCE || defined _SVID_SOURCE
# define __USE_MISC     1
#endif

again, in both libc's.
