Connect fails, with errno != EINPROGRESS. 

I can't recall exactly which errno it was, and the strange thing is every time 
I retry, the errno increases by exactly 1. I'm not sure how dependable errno 
is for this version of uClibc's connect().

We've decided to live with blocking sockets for now.
