first, do not post to uclibc-cvs ... that is for cvs commits, not for uclibc 
discussion

i dont mean to be rude, but seriously, those things are so old it isnt funny

people in the open source world typically dont care about trying to support 
the past like that ... this is what software vendors are for; they patch the 
crap out of the old crufty stuff so end customers can continue on with their 
ancient versions of software

when you step out here into the real open source world, the answer is 
upgrade ... you dont want to upgrade ?  then go back to the vendor and/or fix 
the problem yourself
