Error linking gdb statically

Hello,

I would like to report something similar to what was reported for 
binutils here:

A workaround was suggested here:
http://www.uclibc.org/lists/uclibc/2005-December/013571.html

But this fix was never committed
http://www.uclibc.org/lists/uclibc/2005-December/013566.html

Peter, Could you please post/provide a patch to take care of this issue 
in uClibc?
