Buildroot problems

Try to narrow down the actual error first, this only indicates that the
library wasn't built. Though it's a bit curious how you managed to get to
the install stage and have a missing stat occur if the build failed
somewhere earlier, a case of return values not being checked in the
scripts perhaps?
