Xorg or tinyX

I'm having difficulty getting either tinyX or Xorg to build on buildroot. Is
there a tutorial somewhere on getting buildroot to work with a GUI? Can I
manually configure some options? I'd prefer Xorg but right now I just want
some basic GUI to build.
