Nope.  The cmpci stuff is normal, at least normal for that system
-- the warning is not relevant on powerpc which does not have the
x86 low-memory DMA limits and I've never bothered to fix the msg.

Anyway, I've disabled cvs commits for the time being, as I'm in
the process of switching things over to subversion.  It would be
a shame for commits to get lost during the transition, so I've
temporarily changed /usr/bin/cvs to a symlink to /bin/false,
which entirely explains the failure you are seeing.  :-)
