[uClibc] XFree86 4.4.0, take 1...

Hi list,

XFree86 4.4.0 was released end of Feb, so I could not resist firing at
will at it on the latest and greatest buildroot x86 (courtesy of
Erik and al...).

I completely changed my strategy versus XFree now. I do not use TinyX
anymore, at least for my testing. ( I still like it very much when I
need to save memory )

Instead I use XFree86 in vesa mode, or native autodetection. From what
I understood, TinyX is good but doesn't recognise /dev/input/mice
when your kernel is 2.6.x... To be confirmed later.

Few issues:
 - you need miniperl (regardless you build the fonts or not) with the
patch mentionned by Manuel ("->filedes" inside perlio.c)
 - GLU doesn't compile, fonts do not get build yet :(
 - less than 5 binaries do not get build (very encouraging results)
 - libpng must be present if you want colored cursors
 - ldconf with ld.so.conf doesn't work. I had to copy the libs to /lib
 - LD_LIBRARY_PATH did not work either
 - I made a tar file of /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc to bypass...

This was my config/cf/host.def :
#define BuildFonts NO
#define HasLibCrypt NO <- I need more time to test this
#define BuildGLULibrary NO <- we don't need this (bloated)

Simple, no ? See attached screenshot... Xmag confirms antialiasing in
the server is working (see xclock), and the xdpyinfo shows many options
marked as present... To check if they're all working, we need Moz, Mesa,
KDE/GNOME... etc... etc...

But at least it's a starting point :)

Good work Erik & Al...
Christian
