My symlink is called ld-uClibc.so.0, but assuming that was just a typing
error in the e-mail.

Just to give you a better idea of what is going on and for faster
debugging I'd recommend you compile Busybox statically and then try a
dynamically compiled "Hello World" program.  That should speed things up
a bit.  If it is possible to get strace on the board that is a huge help
as it will tell you where it is looking for programs and files.

What does ldd on your dynamically linked apps show?  Use the ldd from
uClibc.
