[uClibc] cvs buildroot + mips + linux-2.6

just wondering if anyone else has tried this combination ?

i know the mips people maintain their own heavily modified cvs tree for
linux-2.6 and push more moderate patches upstream as they go, but i thought
i'd still try out the linux-2.6 headers :)

using buildroot from cvs and this toolchain combo:
uclibc-snapshot
gcc-3.3.4
binutils-2.14.90.0.6
kernel-headers-2.6.7

i hit a 'neat' little snag ... the resulting libuClibc-0.9.26.so fails to
define __libc_p{read,write}{,64} functions ... switching to
kernel-headers-2.4.25 and rebuilding everything, the functions appear in the
binary library

i havent done much research beyond running `make` in buildroot many times to
track down the package that was causing me the troubles, but has anyone else
seen / researched this ? a quick googling showed nothing useful ...
