[uClibc] Perl Segmentation Fault

Using today's (Nov 12, 2003) snapshot of root_fs_i386,
loop mounted and chrooted on my RedHat 9 system, I
crash when doing something basic:

[root at tetris /]# perldoc
Segmentation fault

whereas on the same system natively I get:

[pablo at tetris pablo] perldoc
Usage: perldoc [-h]...

I ran into this trouble on my buildroot busybox/uClibc
system running on a Geode MediaGX and tested it with
the root_fs_i386 to eliminate the possibility that I
misconfigured something.

Simple perl scripts run fine on my system, but I want
to install SOAP::Lite, and that gets a Segmentation
fault when I try to use MCPAN, and when I try to make
it directly.

And thanks for all the hard work, busybox+uClibc have
come a long ways since I started using it this summer.
 Buildroot really helps.
