[uClibc]Please recommend textmode IDE / GDB GUI

Can anyone recommend a textmode IDE, or at least frontend for debugging (motor, xwpe, rhide or the like) ? How difficult are X-based IDEs to set up ? I find the command-line GDB isn't necessarily a pleasure to work with ...
