Hi,

i am trying to get the gcc 2.95 toolchain for buildroot to compile again
(current version from cvs of buildroot). I am have a gcc compiled
against uclibc, but still have problems with stlport. Mainly because
stlport expects something like i386-uclibc-ar and i only have a
i386-linux-ar (yes i changed the makefile a bit).
So i am wondering why this -uclibc- "step" is in there while building
(it did not work here, anyway)... So if someone (maybe Erik) can explain
the purpose of it, i may fix it...

to other thinks i needed to change was uncommenting some code in the
"hack gcc build" section, because i did not had the files here it wants
to change, and so perl fails.
These files are $(GCC_DIR)/gcc/cppdefault.h
and
$(GCC_DIR)/gcc/unwind-dw2-fde-glibc.c

regards,

          arne
