And I'd be happy to help. (I'm here writing howtos and fighting with the
config system anyway, might as well do it where people can appreciate it...
:)

Eric: are you proposing that PTXdist potentially replace buildroot at some
point in the future? (I.E. merge buildroot and ptxdist, and have somebody
else maintain the result?)

Right now ptxdist says it's a configuration tool, not a mini-distribution.
The difference is small, but it's there.

At the very least, ptxdist is going to need:

A) More documentatioon.
B) Its own mailing list.
C) A link from the uClibc page.

(It would also be really nice if there was some kind of mirror place the
sources could get dumped. I've had trouble with buildroot for the past few
days because half of ftp.gnu.org is down right now. Unfortunately, I know
the bandwidth bills are kind of nasty. I'll try to think of something...)

What -I- want is a base system built from source based on uclibc, busybox, and
tinylogin, with enough of a build environment in it that I can chroot into it
and build whatever else I think I need. (Due to gnu.org being down,
buildroot hasn't been much help here recently, and now I'm buried in life
again for the next day or two. Sigh...)
