Dear Erik,
first off, thanks for the wounderfull buildroots.
But as you might have guessed, I've a problem with them.
I try to create a full mipsel system on an P4. Crosscompiling the
minimal system worked with out problems.
openssh failed as it's buildscript is not suitable for crosscompile
(according to the list's archive and my own glimpse into the Make file)
So I wanted to build a "full development system", this almost works,
except for
- binutils_target: tries to use chew for mipsel on the host during
build. I just copied a chew for toolchaind_.. into
build_mipsel/binutils... and it finishes. Evil hack, I know
- gcc_target. There for unknown reasons the system attempts to use
just compiled mipsel binaries on my host (mainly gen... stuff).
This failes, so again i just copied the matching file from the
toolchain... directory.
Build is not finished yet and I suspect just copying files from the host
into the target is _very_bad_.
Can someone help me to do the right thing?
Thanks,
Goetz.
