Well strace doesnt give any interesting information expoect for the
fact that less recieves a SIGSEV.

Ltrace, however does. The last call made by less before getting killed
is a "regcomp":

regcomp(0x0805d4a0,15,0xbffffd4c,0x0804bb55,0x0805d4a0 <unfinished...>
--- SIGSEV (Segmentation fault ) ---
+++ killed bu SIGSEVV +++
