[uClibc]Mixing Compiler versions

I know that you can't build a system that has it's applications and
libraries built using different compiler versions (say 2.95 and 3.2),
but can the kernel be built using one compiler (2.95), and all the
applications and libraries be built with another (3.2) provided all the
headers used to build them are for the same kernel version ? I want to
try Erik's 3.2 toolchain, and am trying to minimize the amount of things
I have to rebuild to try it.

thanks,

Andy
