[uClibc]Problem with Linux 2.4.0

Dear all.

I know that this distribution list is intended for uClinux/uClibc problem
only, but as you will see later, the problem occured while porting uClinux
on the SH2 CPU.

Using uClibc we've finally got pppd working on our 2.4.0(pre10) kernel. And
it works just fine

However, when I run the following command line on the 2.4.0 (final) kernel:
pppd /dev/ttySC0 9600 15.73.169.252:15.73.169.254 noauth local

After some time (where nothing happened) I get the following error:
>pppd /dev/ttySC0 9600 15.73.169.252:15.73.169.254 noauth local
current_is_keventd(): keventd has not started
schedule_task(): keventd has not started

Does anybody here went through the same problem ?
When is keventd supposed to be started ?

Any ideas, comments etc... are welcome
