[uClibc]NFS performance && stability issues on 2.4

Hello,

I'm having several problems using uclinux (2.4.10 arm) as a NFS-client
on a RedHat 7.2 server. Mounting is 
no problem using the -o nolock option, but accessing the NFS export is
extremely slow (a simple 'ls' in a directory with 10 files
may take several seconds), and accidentily seems to lock up the complete
system. Some debugging shows that reading
is slow, but things like stat/lstat sometimes take seconds to complete.
I did some experiments with NFS version 2 and/or 3, but
the results are still problematic.

Does anyone have similar problems, and much better, a solution ?
