Unable to build a working "static" 1.19.3 build under uclibc hardened

Additional.  Have now tried to build a busybox 1.17.4 with a config file 
which is very close to "make allyesconfig", and using a vanilla 
gcc-4.5.3, no hardening.  I still get what seems like the same failures 
with the static build.  Could this mean it's related to my uclibc 
environment?

Please, any help to debug?
