I don't understand.  Do you mean try to cross compile an earlier version of 
busybox?  (The current one worked fine for me.)  Of using an earlier version of 
some compiler toolchain...?  (Which one?)  Or do you mean use a stage 1 
compiler instead of a stage 2 compiler...?
