ftpd not working.. needs help

"put" is the *upload* command. In order for it to work,
you need to enable FEATURE_FTP_WRITE and run ftpd
with -w option. Be careful to also use DIR parameter:

ftpd -w DIR

and/or run ftpd under non-root,
otherwise people will be able to overwrite any file using
ftp upload.
