We have default (hardcoded though) values for uid:gid and mode for new
devices. But we must constantly repeat them in mdev.conf, even if we
just want to say "Use the defaults". This breaks the sense of a
default value.

Attached is a patch that makes mdev treat single dashes for specifying
"true" default values for 2nd and 3rd fields.

Please, consider applying.
