Not every applet fully supports this. Currently, it will work
for most applets if you use a locale where each glyph
is represented as one byte. Unfortunately,
UTF-8 situation is worse.

It's unclear what you already have. Did you build busybox?
In what cases it shows and doesn't show these chars properly?
